People can keep in touch with messaging apps or video calls. They can find out about the weather. There are even apps that help create new apps.

Five-year-old Ranvir Sachdeva is a testament to India’s immense potential in the realm of technology and coding. As a Grade 1 student in New Delhi, he is already an Apple Swift programmer, showcasing his skills to Apple CEO Tim Cook during the launch of Apple’s Delhi store. Cook’s amazement at Ranvir’s talent led to an invitation for him to attend the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June. This story of a young Indian coder not only highlights the incredible potential of India’s youth but also emphasizes the importance of coding in education.
While Hirranya Rajani, a 6 year old student of Oberoi International School, Goregaon, Mumbai, has developed a sign language app for the hearing impaired people, Venkat Raman Patnaik, a 6.5 year old who is home-schooled in Balangir, Odisha, developed a Reward management system, an app for shaping a desired behaviour.
Then there’s a 13-year old student, Shaurya Sharma, of the Bombay International school, who has created an AI chatbot. Finally, there’s Shrey Shah, a 10-year-old who developed Slackio, app inspired by the slack app, but for his school.
